Cat Boarding

Cat Boarding

We offer deluxe cat boarding facilities for all breeds. We have a separate Cattery for our feline guests with a large window and perches to nap upon. Each feline guest has a full floor to ceiling cat condo. All cats are given personal loving attention throughout their stay. Advance reservations are required. You are always welcome to come out for a tour of our facility anytime during our business hours.

Cats should have Feline Leukemia, Distemper combo and Rabies. Proof of current vaccinations must be submitted at the time of check in. Dr. Barry Lueck of Companion Pet Clinic of Aloha is on call for our facility should any problems arise. For after hours emergencies, Tanasbourne Veterinary Emergency is a short drive away. We request that you bring any medications your pet may require and advise us of any specials needs for your pet during its stay with us.

You will need to provide food for your cat’s stay. Please let us know how often and how much you feed your cat so that we can continue the same routine while you are away. If your cat has any known food allergies or preferences please also advise our staff upon check in.

Understanding the Boarding Experience

Anytime your cat stays at a kennel, he or she will experience some amount of stress. Some cats carry viruses in their system for months and begin to show symptoms only after being subjected to a stressful situation. We strive to make the boarding experience for your pet as stress -free as possible and encourage you to prepare your pet both physically and psychologically for boarding. Typically, cats take a little more time to settle into new situations, such as a boarding kennel. We recommend bringing familiar items from home that can help them feel at ease. A favorite toy or an old t-shirt you have worn often helps.

Eating habits may change under stress. Some cats will eat more and gain some weight, and others pick at their food and lose weight. We recommend bringing a food topper, wet food or even some shredded chicken to help your cat eat while away from home. A successful boarding experience depends on not only the boarding facility, but also upon how well the owner prepares their pet for the experience.
