We offer deluxe dog and cat boarding facilities for all breeds, large and small. All dogs are boarded in a beautiful country atmosphere most with a landscaped courtyard view. Every dog has a clean indoor sleeping area and a full outdoor run. Your dog is given personal loving attention throughout its stay. Reservations are required.
We require that your dog be current on the following vaccinations prior to its visit to our kennel: Distemper, Hepatitis Lepto, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus, Corona, Bordetella, and Rabies. Proof must be submitted at the time of boarding. We have Dr. Peter Davis, of St. Johns Veterinary Clinic, on call for our kennel should any problems arise.
In addition to boarding, we also offer the following services:
- Grooming – Shampoo baths and nail trims
- Exercise – Off lead in our play yard or big grassy field or walks on lead around our property
- Breeding – Select Field Champion Pointer pups available on a limited basis
- Training – Obedience, hunting dogs and field trial competitions
We have developed a training program for pointing dogs which we have found to be highly successful to the upland hunter. In our hunting dog program, your dog stays at the kennel for a minimum of two months. We teach your dog to work for you, and we dedicate many hours of our training to you in our owner training sessions. Your dog will be exposed to a variety of game birds, introduced to the gun in a positive manner, and be pointing steady to wing. Our goal is to have you handle your dog with confidence, understand his training, and enjoy yourself! It’s fun to hunt with a trained bird dog!
Our all breed obedience program is a 30 day program. We teach your dog the basics of good manners. We work on and off leash with commands that include sit, stay, down, come, heel, and no. Our program includes several private lessons with the owners to learn and practice the technique of handling their dog as well as additional support once you take your dog home.
We limit the size of our training classes, so please reserve in advance for either of our training programs. Call us for more information or a kennel tour.
